ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Avery Everett. I’m a journalist based in San Antonio, TX. I’m originally from Philadelphia, PA.

Right now, I’m a reporter and multimedia journalist at KSAT 12 News, the ABC-affiliate TV station in the Alamo City. I report Monday through Friday on our 10 p.m. newscast.

Previously, I worked as a reporter, anchor and producer at KOMU 8 News in mid-Missouri.

My work has won both a regional Edward R. Murrow for “Excellence in Innovation” and a regional Mid-America Emmy.

People wonder why I’ve devoted myself to journalism, something I’m often told is a “dying craft.” Journalism isn’t dead, at the local or national level, and it won’t be so long as there’s a truth to tell. It’s so much bigger than just words on a page — it’s the power to say what needs to be said and the courage to say it when others won’t. I’m honored to be a part of that cause.
